1980s

Barrie Brown, 1987 MBA graduate, was recently promoted to President and CEO of Mattress Giant Corporation.

1990s

Steven L. Lubetkin, 1994 MBA graduate, is currently Vice President/Director, Corporate Communications with Fleet Boston Financial Corporation in Princeton, N.J. Lubetkin is also serving a three-year term as a National Director of the Public -Relations Society of America.

Tom Kessler, 1997 BSB/A graduate, was hired as a Technical Products Specialist by Bunnell, Inc. In 1999, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations and Chief Quality Officer.

James B. Olson, 1997 BSB/A and 2000 MBA graduate, has founded Pacific Power Solutions, Inc., a new onsite power and energy development corporation in Carson City, Nev.

John T. Bodie, 1998 MC graduate, was recently hired as Director of Rehabilitation Services for The Salvation Army: Adult Rehabilitation Center.

Donald Knutson, 1998 BSB/A graduate, is the Vice President, Client Services for Bernard Haldane Associates.

Joseph Ryan, 1998 BSB/M graduate and 2000 MBA graduate, has been named as an adjunct faculty at the University of Phoenix Nevada campus, facilitating various management classes.

Francois Gau, 1999 MBA graduate, has joined Kennametal (KMT) as Leader for Global Marketing Aerospace and Defense.

Teresa Horgan, 1999 BSB/M and 2003 MBA graduate, has been promoted to Business Manager to the GM of Worldwide Learning and Readiness at Microsoft Corporation.

Tomi Price, 1999 BAM graduate and current student of the MBA/GM program, has been named President and COO of The Lineage Group, a genealogical history tracking and information research company.

2000

Terry D. Clark, 2000 BSB/M graduate, has published more than a dozen articles about traveling and product evaluations, and a book, Searching Beyond the Horizon.

Andrew Singer, 2000 MBA graduate, is now the Executive Vice President and General Manager for Radio Frequency Systems.

Deborah Wharton, 2000 BSB/A graduate, has recently accepted a position with F. McLintocks as Human Resources Director in California.

2001

Tressa R. Bankhead, 2001 MBA and current student of the DM program, has accepted the position as President and CEO of the Detroit Chapter of the Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO).

Jennifer Clay, 2001 MBA graduate, was promoted to Corporate Marketing Manager for Flextronics International.

Andrew Cohen, 2001 BSB/A DUAL MGT and 2003 MBA/EB graduate, has entered Walden University Ph.D. program for Leadership and Organizational Management.

Simon Dreisbach, 2001 BSB/MKT graduate, has finished his first year as an Educational Specialist in the California public school system and is applying to a Ph.D. in Psychology program.

Pamela Fruge, 2001 MBA graduate, was recently promoted to Assistant Director, Business Administration with the Alumni Association of UCSD.

Ruth Kaber, 2001 BSB/M graduate, was hired to the position of Maintenance Coordinator/MRO Buyer for Georgia-Pacific Corp. Packaging Division, Modesto, Calif.

Rena Leon, 2001 BSB/A graduate, moved to New York and received an AOS degree in Culinary Arts at The Culinary -Institute of America, Hyde Park, N.Y. Leon currently is working in the Terrazza Restaurant of Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

Uwe Mueller, 2001 MBA graduate, recently accepted the position of Director, Value Analysis for the St. Anthony's Hospitals, Centura Health of Colorado.

Victoria Norman, 2001 BSB/A graduate, was recently promoted from Director of Personnel to Chief Fiscal Services Officer for Dinuba Unified School District in Central California.

Franklin I. Aviles Santa, 2001 MBA/GM graduate, is the Marketing Vice President of Tropical Global Farms, Inc. located in Humacao, Puerto Rico. Santa also teaches at Ponificia Universidad Catolica de Puerto Rico in Tourism and Business Administration courses.

Tony Sines, 2001 MBA/TM graduate, recently accepted a position of Information Security Officer for the Department of Veterans Affairs Robert J. Dole Medical and Regional Office Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Chalmer H. Swanson III, 2001 MBA graduate, has been promoted to Director of Quality Assurance with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston.

Melanie Teare, 2001 MAOM graduate, has been promoted to Senior HR Specialist at Epix, Inc. in Tampa, Fla.

2002

James Alexander, 2002 BSB/A graduate, has been named Vice President, Internal Audit and Regulatory Compliance at West Coast Bank.

Rashad A. Baadqir, 2002 MAOM graduate, recently accepted a position of Executive Director with the Council on American Islamic Relations, Sacramento Valley office. Baadqir has also published The Browning of Europe.

Michael L. Benton, 2002 BSB/M graduate, recently accepted a promotion to technical writer for Kyocera Wireless Corporation.

Steve Blum, 2002 MAED/CT graduate, was a second grade elementary school teacher before graduation, and is now the Computer Teacher/Technological Facilitator at the same school.

Lessie B. Branch, 2002 MBA/GM graduate, has been hired as an Adjunct Professor in the Office Technologies Department of Monroe College in the Bronx, N.Y., and will be teaching legal terminology and transcription this fall.

Matthew J. Dickson, 2002 BSB/M graduate, has accepted a position as Business and Commercial Banking Team Leader for the US Bank's Community Banking Group in Northern Nevada and Northern California.

Bob Dobson, 2002 MBA/GM graduate, was promoted to Chief Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard.

Cheryl L. Fields, 2002 MBA graduate, has purchased a team from the National Women's Football Association and is President/Owner. Fields is also working on her Ph.D. in Human Resources.

Djuan L. Forrester, 2002 MAOM graduate, was promoted to Director of Lifelong Learning at North Central Texas College. Forrester has also earned designation as a Certified Program Planner from Learning Resource Network (LERN).

Evaristo Rey J. Garcia, 2002 BSB/A graduate, is currently enrolled in the Strategic Executive MBA program at Golden Gate University.

Bela A. Gesztesi III, 2002 MBA/GM graduate, was recently hired by Boehringer-Ingelheim for a pharmaceutical sales representative position in the Middletown, N.Y./Binghamton, N.Y. region.

Bill Goman, 2002 MAOM graduate, was named District Manager for Lynden Air Freight in Portland, Ore.

Tim Gowens, 2002 BSB/IS graduate, has begun working as a PALACE Acquire intern (a three-year paid internship program) for the USAF training to be an IT Specialist at Hill AFB in Clearfield, Utah.

Robert Grady, 2002 BSB/A graduate, has successfully passed the Administrator's Exam for licensure within the State of Massachusetts, and was promoted to Administrator of The Pointe Group, which is owned and operated by Baypointe Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton, Mass.

Raquel (Kelly) S. Hildebrand, 2002 MAOM graduate, was promoted to HRMS Analyst as a member of the Total Compensation Team at Tower Automotive, Grand Rapids, Mich.

Carl A. Ivey III, 2002 BSIT/NTC graduate, was accepted to attend USAF Officer Training School and received a commission as a Second Lieutenant. Ivey is now a Network Control Center Commander stationed at Schriever AFB, Colo.

Timmy Lampp, 2002 BSB/M DUAL ADM graduate, recently accepted a position as Assistant Controller at the Hotel Monaco in New Orleans.

Keturah D. McEwen, 2003 MAOM graduate, has accepted a position with Kaplan Test Prep as a Marketing Manager.

Art Pedroza, 2002 BSB/M graduate, was retained by the Coalition for Fair Employment in Construction as their Director of Government Affairs in California.

Ronnie A. Poff, 2002 AAGS graduate, has been promoted to Manager, Global Sourcing at Tetra.

Tim Reynolds, 2002 MSCIS graduate, has started Tim's Online Sales, a consumer electronics, computer and components resale business online.

Stephen A. Solomon, 2002 MBA/TM graduate, has designed, developed and launched an e-commerce business called Total Quality Photo.

Alex Traxler, 2002 BSIT/DBM graduate, recently accepted a Software Engineer position in Houston, Texas, with Devon Energy.

Deborah Vriens, 2002 MAED/SPE graduate, has recently accepted the position of Special Education Director for Pinnacle Education, Inc. in Tempe, Ariz.

2003

Kathleen Bernard, 2003 MBA/TM graduate, was hired as the Director of Donor Data at the United Way of Richmond.

Nancy M. Bohr, 2003 MSN graduate, was recently hired at the South Dakota Board of Nursing in Sioux Fall, S.D., as a Nursing Program Specialist.

Robin R. Carmack, 2003 MAOM graduate, was recently hired by Sunrise Community of Tennessee as Operations Director in Greeneville, Tenn.

Michelle A. Cebuhar, 2003 BSB/MKT graduate, has been promoted to Learning Consultant for the College of Marketing Distribution and Product Support within Caterpillar University, Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, Ill.

James Crider, 2003 BSB/A graduate, has taken the position as Director of National Accounts for Consumer Marketing Services, Inc. in Syracuse, N.Y.

William A. Davis, 2003 BSIT/POS graduate, was promoted to Hardware Engineer Senior at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Fort Worth.

Debra J. Fitzwater, 2003 MBA graduate, has been promoted from Health System Applications Specialist to Health/IT Specialist for Sysmex America, Inc.

Rich George, 2003 MAED/CT graduate, has been named Director of Marketing for the Excel Program at Southeastern College, Lakeland, Fla.

James, F. Gothard, Jr., 2003 MSCIS graduate, has been promoted to Senior Technical Officer, Internet Project Manger of JP Morgan Chases' Credit Card Internet Sites. Gothard has also received his PMP certification from PMI.

Daniel E. Highland, 2003 MBA/HCM graduate, has been accepted to Touro University as a Ph.D. candidate in Healthcare Administration.

Kimberly Hill, 2003 MAED/ECTC graduate, was promoted to Senior Technical Instructor in the Organizational Development Department of First Data Resources.

David Kruger, 2003 MBA/EB graduate, has been accepted as Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at University of Southern California, and will begin in the 2004 academic year.

Stephanie Labbate, 2003 BSB/IS graduate, has received a promotion to Supervisor, Technical Information Services at L'Oreal USA Products, Inc.

Lovelace Lee III, 2003 BSB/M graduate and current student of the MAOM program created a national consumer awareness campaign for HAIR ALERT Now!, a Los Angeles-based consumer advocacy group.

Jody Leep, 2003 BSIT graduate, has been promoted from Project Specialist to a Lead Technician for MRI Technologies in Houston, Texas.

Brian Mazzei, 2003 MBA graduate, has accepted the position of Field Marketing Manager with Dannon Waters of North America.

Shelia J. Montgomery, 2003 MAOM graduate, was promoted six days after completing her final course to Executive Director of the Governor's Office on Women's Policy for the State of Louisiana.

Noel Pascual, 2003 BSIT/WEB graduate, was accepted for graduate studies and is currently in his Master's of Arts in Management at University of Redlands, Calif.

Kimberly Perez, 2003 BSB/M graduate, accepted a new position as manager of four corporations: two retail, one construction and one leasing.

Luis Rivera, 2003 BSB/M graduate, has retired from the US Air. Recently, Rivera accepted the position of Financial Specialist for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Las Vegas.

Stacie J. Roberson, 2003 BSB/IS graduate, was hired as an Occupational Safety and Health Specialist with the Department of Marines, MCBJ Safety, Okinawa, Japan. She will also be PM for the Respiratory Protection Program and Family Child Care and Child Development Centers.

Nathan Usrey, 2003 MBA graduate, was formerly a private high school teacher and is now working as an executive at CitiFinancial.
